Sakuya Konohana Kan is one of the world’s largest green house. This is one of my favorite places in Osaka! Not only I love the architecture of the greenhouse, but also, the surrounding area in there is amazing. I visited Sakuya Konohana Kan on autumn, where the weather is cool, and the plants is starting to molt. But I still got a peaceful atmosphere.
The Sakuya is located on Tsurumi Ryokuchi park, where Expo’90 was held. (There is a free mini tram that we can use to go around the area to see pavilion from expo90’s participants from many countries.) The ticket price for the green house is ¥500 for adults.
We can see from tropical to polar region flowers and plants in here. When entering the green house, a warm temperature ‘greeted’ me, since the tropical area is located in the beginning of our green house ‘tour’. This place is quite large. If you are a plant lover, I think you’ll take a more time than mine to explore more, since they have more than 10,000 plants.
What I like from visiting an educative place in Japan is they have a facility that people, esp. kids, can explore more about the relevant knowledge from that place.
Don’t forget to get your stamps for your reminiscences of this beautiful place! 🙂
